So what if I do poorly in an alt.* newsgroup? No one cares anyway.
If you carry a newsgroup, you should have the content. alt.* newsgroups are the most popular and well-read of Usenet.
There are no heavily spammed alt.* newsgroups in the sample set. If you aren't doing well in the sample alt.* newsgroups, then you most likely have a real problem which can't be dismissed with a statement of "No one cares." Perhaps YOU don't care, but that isn't the same as "No one cares."
Sites with small active files, a T1 connection, and a handful of feeds are doing "A" ratings in most alt.* newsgroups except binaries. Most sites can. You can too!

Why is my alt.* or alt.binaries.* performance so much lower?
Why do some sites decide to not carry binaries or alt.*?
