INTERNET-DRAFT Charles H. Lindsey Usenet Format Working Group University of Manchester April 2001
6.7. Followup-To The Followup-To header specifies which newsgroup(s) followups should be posted to. Followup-To-content = Newsgroups-content / "poster" The syntax is the same as that of the Newsgroups-content, with the exception that the magic word "poster" is allowed. In the absence of a Followup-To header, the default newsgroup(s) for a followup are those in the Newsgroups header, and for this reason the Followup-To header SHOULD NOT be included if it just duplicates the Newsgroups header. A Followup-To header consisting of the magic word "poster" indicates that the author requests no followups to be sent in response to this article, only personal replies to the article's reply address. NOTE: An author who wishes both a personal reply and a followup post should include a Mail-Copies-To header (6.8).[Previous Up Next]
