Mib Software Newsrate Usenet Server Comparisons

How do I enable access so that my machine can be sampled?

This varies based on the news server software you are running. In INN (and similar products) there is an access control file called nnrp.access. The lines to be added are:

		mibsoftware.com:RP:::*
		206.96.121.104:RP:::*
		209.3.107.104:RP:::*

(mibsoftware.com will be moving soon, so adding two numeric IP addresses is recommended.)

If you prefer, USER PASS access can be set up. Choose a user and password and replace the fields below before adding to nnrp.access. Remember to enter these into the signup form.

		mibsoftware.com:RP:user here:password here:*
		206.96.121.104:RP:user here:password here:*
		209.3.107.104:RP:user here:password here:*
