Known Problems: 386BSD (Jolitz)
     If you use 386BSD (the Jolitz port, not the BSDI product) you  will
have  to  set  ACT_STYLE  to  "READ".   If you do not do this then the
active file will not get updated.  Another work-around is to  insert  an
"msync" call in the ICDwriteactive routine in innd/icd.c.  This is not
supported because I consider the 386BSD behavior to be buggy.
